Public Policy

United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona is focused on improving conditions for children, families and seniors in our community and monitoring what government does at all levels. At the local, state and national level, government has a large impact on the lives of those we care most about. For more than 20 years your United Way has been a leader across the nation in developing and acting on a strong public policy agenda. View our 2009 Public Policy Agenda.
United Way’s Public Policy Committee, chaired by Mark Clark, United Way board member and CEO of CODAC Behavioral Health Services, meets monthly to develop a Public Policy agenda, based on the input from our three impact areas. United Way acts on that agenda through public education and lobbying as necessary to insure that the interests of children, families and seniors are addressed at all levels of government.
