Details: 13th Annual Business Leaders for Early Education Breakfast Hosted by Women United  Keynote speaker, Kenneth Thrasher Educated workers are critical to the 21st century workforce. Children who read proficiently by the end of third grade are more likely to succeed academically and graduate from high school prepared for college and careers.  60% of children in Pima County are not reaching this crucial benchmark. We are working to close this gap through Read On Tucson, an approach that implements proven strategies to increase the percentage of third graders reading at grade level in our community. Last year, nearly 600 influential business and community leaders attended this important event and made an investment that impacted 1,412 children from 12 elementary schools, who received 16,994 books to read during the summer to help prevent summer learning loss. Do you know an educator who has gone above and beyond in literacy efforts in our community?  New to the Business Breakfast this year, is the Literacy Champion Award which will be presented to an early childhood educator teaching students in preschool through third grade. The award will recognize the educator's achievements in literacy with students. Nominations for the awards are now open. Submissions must be received by 5:00 p.m. on January 12th, 2018 for consideration.   Click here to complete the application.     Sponsorship Opportunities: $5,000 Gold Sponsor – five available One complimentary table for nine guests Half-page full color display in event program On-site marketing material distribution opportunity Stage recognition Prominent logo inclusion on the following: Event signage Invitation (within printing deadlines) United Way Business Breakfast website All marketing materials to promote the event $2,500 Silver Sponsor – eight available One complimentary table for nine guests Quarter-page full color display in event program On-site marketing material distribution opportunity Stage recognition Prominent logo inclusion on the following: Event signage Invitation (within printing deadlines) United Way Business Breakfast website All marketing materials to promote the event $1,000 Copper Sponsor – twelve available One complimentary table for nine guests Event program listing Stage recognition Prominent logo inclusion on the following: Event signage Invitation (within printing deadlines) United Way Business Breakfast website All marketing materials to promote the event $290 Table Sponsor – unlimited available One complimentary table for nine guests Event program listing Table signage The portion of your sponsorship that qualifies for an IRS charitable contribution: Gold $4,850; Silver $2,350; Copper $850; Table $100.
