Financial Education Collaborative of Southern Arizona (FECSA)
Our Mission
FECSA is a collaboration of business, non-profits, faith-based organizations, government and individuals dedicated to empowering, advocating for, and providing ongoing support to individuals and families by increasing access to and knowledge of financial education and other community resources throughout Southern Arizona, sharing best and promising practices, linking financial education to other asset building strategies, and measuring outcomes related to financial education.
About FECSA
In 2005, United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona convened several agencies in Tucson who all shared an interest in promoting financial education in our community. Over the years, the size and scope of this learning circle has grown to include agencies that provide additional services to the community such as job training, foreclosure prevention, and other asset building services. The Financial Education Collaborative of Southern Arizona meets once a month to pursue common goals.
Currently, the Collaborative’s priorities include establishing an up-to-date inventory of financial education and asset building resources in Tucson, creating a marketing campaign around financial education and asset building, recruiting new partners, and measuring the outcomes of FECSA partner programs. Additionally, FECSA invites guest speakers and partner presentations at their monthly meetings and engage in learning circles to share best practices.
