$1 invested in childhood development programs saves $7 in future remedial education, welfare and jail-time.
It essentially costs the same amount to house people as it does to leave them homeless.

Representatives from the Jim Click Automotive Team visited the offices of United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona to drop off a check from Mr. Click to United Way to help further its mission of Building a Better Community for All.

Help Determine the Future of Southern Arizona

The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona and United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona have partnered on an initiative-The Southern Arizona Indicators Project-to help shape the approach to community problem-solving for Southern Arizona's most critical challenges. The Project will become an important data source to identify community needs and proven strategies that address those needs in the region. Input from the community is needed to accurately reflect what is important throughout our diverse region.

First Annual Holiday Giveaway

Two semi-truckloads of food and supplies were distributed to 800 families in need on Tuesday, December 6, at Catalina United Methodist Church on Speedway Blvd. More than 80 volunteers from the community braved the chilly temperatures to help distribute the supplies from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA) chose United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona to be the lead agency in this holiday giveaway.
