Youth Development Coalition's 2012 Quality Counts Expansion Project
It is with great pleasure that United Way announces the launch of the Youth Development Coalition’s (YDC) 2012 Quality Counts Expansion Project. YDC began Quality Counts as a pilot project last year to determine if the Youth Program Quality Intervention system (YPQI) was a good fit for our network of out-of-school time programs in Pima County. After analyzing the assessment data, staff survey feedback and program director focus group discussions, it was decided that YDC members should continue moving forward with expanding and strengthening the Quality Counts initiative.
We are now accepting applications from out-of-school time programs in Pima County serving youth ages 6-18 to be a Quality Counts site. Applications are due January 11th. To apply, fill out this application. Once opened and completed, click "submit" at the upper right hand corner. It will be automatically emailed to the Senior Director of Youth Development. To learn more about Quality Counts, please refer to our brochure. You can also watch this informative video to learn how a network of afterschool programs in California is using this very same quality improvement system.
