Ronald K. Sable

Ronald K. Sable - Mr. Sable, President of Concord Solutions Ltd., a business consulting practice for high technology firms, is a member of the Board of Directors of Capitol Bancorp Ltd (NYSE), Yuma Community Bank, Sunrise Bank of Albuquerque (Vice Chairman), and Central Arizona Bank, and serves as Vice Chairman and Chair Elect of the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona.

He has served as a senior executive in a number of organizations including The Aerospace Corporation, McDonnell Douglas Corporation and VeriSign where he had overall responsibility for business development, and McDonnell Douglas Corporation where he also served as the chief lobbyist. Before joining McDonnell Douglas, Mr. Sable was Special Assistant to President Reagan for National Security Affairs. In that role he was the White House liaison with the U.S. Senate on defense, foreign policy, intelligence and arms control issues. He served 20 years in the Air Force as a pilot and was an Outstanding Graduate of the Air War College. A graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College (BS), he has an MS from Southern Illinois University in International Relations and a Doctorate of Humane Letters (honorary) from Iowa Wesleyan.

He is a graduate of the Harvard University Program in National & International Security, the Wharton School Executive Program in Finance, the UCLA Anderson School Program in Mergers and Acquisitions, and the Capitol University School of Banking. A recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from Iowa Wesleyan, Mr. Sable also is a recipient of the George Washington Honor Medal, and the Distinguished Flying Cross and is a certified Level III Homeland Security Expert. He is a Principal of the University of Arizona Eller Graduate School Executive in Residence program, an elected member of the International Academy of Astronautics, the Tucson International Airport Authority, and the DM 50, and is a Life Member of the Air Force Association, and the Air Commando Association. He has successfully led senior government and commercial negotiations in more than 30 countries and his views on subjects ranging from strategy to national security and the environment have been featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, Fast Company Magazine, The Arizona Star, and the Tucson Citizen and on NPR.

Ron and his wife Patsy are active supporters and sponsors of United Way, The Community Foundation of Southern Arizona, New Beginnings, and The University of Arizona Foundation.
