A Success Story
The Salvation Army
A family of three, a single mother who had lost her job due to layoff and had never required assistance before, and her two children, averted eviction and potential homelessness through the receipt of housing and utility assistance while the mother obtained employment through the Pima County One- Stop Job Center. The mother had no information on DES benefits and was provided this information but was able to regain employment and self-sufficiency before requiring those benefits.
