Details: United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona is hosting Improving Financial Well-Being The Financial Capability Training Collaborative is pleased to invite you to a one-day convening of professionals who are interested in helping people achieve financial stability and security. Improving Financial Well-Being is now an annual meeting for professionals to share information and promising practices in the field of financial education, coaching and other supports for individuals and families.  Registration is $25 in advance or $35 the day of the event. Lunch is provided. Keynote Speaker: Woody Widrow Woody Widrow is the Executive Director of RAISE Texas, which in 2008 became the first independent asset building coalition in the country. Woody has served as Executive Director since the coalition was formed, and has been recognized as a leader in the asset-building field nationally for many years. He has more than 45 years of experience in housing, community development and asset building. Before moving to Texas in 1999, Woody served as the Vice President of the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, the Deputy Director of the National Association for Affordable Housing Lenders, and the Executive Director of the National Housing Institute, and Editor of SHELTERFORCE. Woody received a Masters in Community and Regional Planning from Rutgers University. Session Topics Session topics include financial coaching, state and local policy, tax-time savings and ideas to be shared among colleagues in financial well-being during "Around our Town" breakout groups. Details: United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona is hosting Improving Financial Well-Being The Financial Capability Training Collaborative is pleased to invite you to a one-day convening of professionals who are interested in helping people achieve financial stability and security. A $15 contribution covers the cost of your meal. If you would like to attend the full program, contact Ken Briggs and ask to register for the full day. Details: Days of Caring 2018 October 19th & 20th  United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona's Annual Days of Caring is our community's single largest volunteer event.  Every year, thousands of people from area businesses, schools and community groups lend their time, talents, and energy to volunteer for projects that make a difference in our community.
