In Person and Valet VITA Tax Prep

Meet with an IRS-certified preparer in person for same-day tax preparation.
Use Valet VITA to have your documents scanned, and then pick up the completed return at a later date or have it sent to you via encrypted email.

COVID-19 Update: For Taxpayers Using Valet VITA

In the interest of your safety and ours, we are not able to offer pick-up of completed Valet VITA returns. We offer two options:

1) We can send your tax return by encrypted email and talk to you by phone. When you have signed electronically, we can efile your tax return and it will be processed by the IRS and your state revenue department; or

2) Wait until it's safe to meet in person, and we can print it, have you sign, and then we can efile your return.

To have us send it by encrypted email, please send an email to [email protected] and tell us that you want your tax return emailed to you.

Virtual Filing Pilot

For those who have not yet filed their taxes, there is a virtual filing option! This year United Way of Tucson is teaming up with Code for America to provide an online Tax Assistance Program:
This service uses United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona's Valet VITA model along with a way to upload documents through an app from any device with an internet connection, so people can use Valet VITA without coming to a site to have documents scanned. This is one way for taxpayers to have their tax returns completed from the safety of their own homes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
