Every year, hundreds of community members give their time and energy to help community members receive the biggest check many of them will receive all year: their tax refunds. Even if you've never even prepared your own taxes, we provide all of the training needed for you to be an asset to our team.

Front of House Managers make sure clients are seen in the order of their arrival, make sure everyone has their necessary documents, and provides clients with options if they aren't able to be served on-site for any reason.
Interview Specialists help clients use our Valet VITA option if they don't prefer to wait to be seen in person. Doing a detailed intake interview, taking good notes, and making sure the client has brought all their required documents helps ensure that their return can be prepared remotely, so all they need to do is wait for a call that their return is ready to be picked up.
Tax Preparers complete an IRS certification exam and learn our tax preparation software to serve clients with efficient, accurate tax preparation.
Volunteers who have previous tax experience can fill in other roles, reviewing the work of tax preparers to ensure accuracy and completeness, mentoring new preparers and helping them grow their knowledge throughout the season, or even coordinating their own VITA site!
